The Rescue Operations after the 2023 Earthquake in Jishishan, Gansu Province

Blue Sky Rescue Team rushes to assist the Jishishan earthquake disaster area.


At 23:59 on December 18th, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Jishishan Bao'an Dongxiang Salar Autonomous County in Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. According to a message released by the earthquake rescue forward command at 10:00 in the morning, as of 8:47 on December 19th, the earthquake has resulted in 105 deaths and 186 injuries in Gansu, with 4,782 houses damaged.

Blue Sky Rescue teams from across the country swiftly responded to the disaster information and participated in the earthquake relief operations.



The local area of the disaster zone is cold at night, and the team members are racing against time to set up relief tents.
