The center of 2024 No. 21 Typhoon "Connie" landed on the coast of Chenggong Town, Taitung County, Taiwan Province around 14:00 on October 31. The maximum wind force near the center was 15 (48 meters per second, strong typhoon level) when it landed. Affected by it, since the 30th, gusts of 8 to 12 have appeared in some coastal areas of Fujian and Zhejiang and Taiwan Island, and 14 to 17 in some parts of Taiwan Island; the accumulated rainfall in the eastern and northern parts of Taiwan Island is 100 to 300 mm, 400 to 600 mm in some parts of Hualien, Yilan, Taipei, etc., and more than 1,000 mm in some parts of Yilan.
From March 31 to November 1, there will be heavy rain in Taiwan Island, northeastern Fujian, central and eastern Zhejiang, Shanghai, southern Jiangsu and other places in my country, with torrential rain in some areas (accumulated rainfall of 100-200 mm), and extremely heavy rain in the eastern part of Taiwan Island, northeastern Fujian, eastern Zhejiang, southeastern Shanghai and other places (rainfall of 250-400 mm, 400-800 mm in the eastern part of Taiwan Island); the maximum hourly rainfall will be 40-70 mm, and more than 80 mm in some parts of Taiwan Island.
Affected by the outer edge of Typhoon Connie No. 21, some areas of Shanghai were seriously flooded, affecting the normal operation of the city. Faced with this severe situation, the Shanghai Blue Sky Rescue Team responded quickly and launched the strong typhoon warning standby and rescue work.
